Wabion’s Senior Cloud Architect keeps you up to date with the latest news from, about and around Google Cloud. In this special edition, Jörn highlights his favorite announcements of Next ‘21, Google Cloud’s flagship event that took place October 12-14, 2021.
After the warm-up I provided in the September edition of my monthly GCP update, I can’t resist sharing my personal highlights of Google Cloud Next ‘21.
In particular, multi-cloud and data enthusiasts got their time’s worth thanks to the numerous exciting announcements from Google Cloud.
If you want to start with a high-level intro, I recommend watching Thomas Kurian’s opening keynote. The following list of my favorite announcements lets you dig a bit deeper.
If you want to learn more about new and upcoming Google Workspace features, I highly recommend you sign up for our monthly “Google Workspace – What’s New” with my colleague Jan Witt.
For more announcements from Next ‘21, you find the complete list here.
Last but not least, I want to highlight Google Cloud Carbon Footprint. With this tool also announced at Next ‘21, Google Cloud users can measure, track, and report their carbon footprint associated with their Google Cloud activities. Learn more about this latest addition to the greenest cloud – and stay tuned for my next regular GCP update in a couple of weeks.
All the best,
Jörn
