The migration was conducted with the help of the G Suite Premier Partner Wabion. As part of the project, all emails, calendars and contacts were migrated to Google in such a way that all data were immediately accessible to employees in full capacity from the start.
After an elaborate analysis, Tamedia has opted for the Google Apps for Work product suite. Google Apps for Work allows for easy and efficient communication and collaboration between all employees as well as with external partners. The project launched in May 2015 and was concluded after the successful launch for all 3,000 employees on 9 November 2015.
