Many companies are forced to rethink their way of working. Very few of them are technically equipped for a 100% mobile workplace. While many overhaul and redesign their work culture from scratch, others want to keep their existing communication systems and only add practical, collaborative tools. Google Cloud responds to precisely this need with G Suite Essentials, the “baby sister” of the regular productivity and collaboration suite.
G Suite Essentials consists of:
- the videoconferencing tool Google Meet
It can be used safely, easily, intuitively and without any downloading. It offers a number of up to 250 participants, the video conferences can be recorded and saved. Its surface and, above all, features have been greatly expanded in the past months and are more user-friendly than ever. - the storage space Google Drive
It is the storage space for all your content, no matter what its nature. You can share them with others, access and edit them from any device at any time. If you mainly work in a steady team, you can create shared drives that all members can access without dedicated approval. - the classic office tools Google Docs, Sheets and Slides
These tools allow you to work as you would with a desktop application. The only difference: there is no more annoying mailing of attachments to rework them with colleagues. There is a single source document in Google Drive in which you can work simultaneously, view version histories, comment, assign tasks to each other – all very easily.
G Suite Essentials is available free of charge until September 30, 2020. More detailed pricing information starting October 2020 can be found here. As experienced and certified G Suite experts, we are of course happy to assist you if you have any questions!
